Steve and his 1997 SHO
Welcome to my 1997 Ford Taurus SHO web page. This page is sparse for now, but after the car is detailed, I'll take some photos.I bought Sugar (her name) from Swanson Ford on August 18, 1997. I probably paid too much for her, but what the heck, she is a great car!
Off the lot, she has a scuff and a rumple in the passenger seat which will be repaired/replaced to my liking. The lining around the moon roof was pulling away in a few places, and that was taken care of.
I've had her up to 100, as the dealer and a few people said the purrfect V8 does not need much of a break in. I sure hope they are right. Going uphill, about 75, I punched it and in under 10 seconds we were at 100. Who knows how long it took, I was watching for protect and servers :)
I am not a racer, not a Tim Allen car nut but I do appreciate quality and for a Ford, she is a pretty damn nice car. I traded my piece of crap 1989 Probe in (for next to nothing) after I got the $4K bill. Those Probe's were maintainence nightmares.
She is "vibrant" white which I like a lot. She stays very cool and after she is detailed I'm sure it will blind a few people as I pass them. (Which she does)
