While talking with an Apple staffmember about iDVD and not supporting anamorphic, he mentioned that DVD Studio Pro did anamorphic movies.
I then noted how iDVD and DVD Studio Pro are on different planets in terms of ease of use. He replied:
“I can’t comment on unannounced product.”
So I took this and later in the conversion said “I would pay $100 for an iDVD Pro that let me do anamorphic movies.” and he replied, “Again, I cannot comment on unannounced product.”
Given the advent of Final Cut Express, it only makes sense that Apple is either beefing up iDVD into a Pro version, or making DVD Studio Pro usable by humans and coming out with an Express version.
