Apple has released iPhone firmware update 1.0.1 via iTunes. Just plug your phone in and enjoy the goodness!.
Aside from security updates, I have noticed the following fixes:
- I can’t crash the google maps application anymore. Traffic on, off, scrolling, wifi, edge, it seems solid.
- The Google Maps application is nearly as fast on EDGE as it is on WiFi in my house. Amazingly fast. YMMV.
- Matt points out that Apple changed mail’s self-CC to self-BCC.
- The speaker phone seems louder.
- The ring tones do not seem louder. I will have to run some tests.
