I rented Criterion’s M (1931) not really knowing what to expect. I enjoyed it, but it was a tad long and slow. However, for a 1931 film, I thought the acting was quite good and it had that Frankenstein feel, you know, the audio crackling, missing frames, etc. I really dig that.

The movie was about a serial pedophile/killer, played by Peter Lorre. That guy is creepy in English, he was uber creepy in German. The town takes things into its own hands as the bumbling police can’t find a clue. The ending I’ll leave for you.
