Burning images into CDs

Tom’s Hardware has a review of the new Yamaha drive that can actually burn images into the unused portion of a CD-R. Toast 5.2 is expected to support this somehow. Pretty awesome!

iChat gets National TV Exposure

On CBS’ reality show “Big Brother,” iChat was used for Lisa to communicate with the internet (it was an America’s Choice poll). It was clear it was iChat, with the bubbles and OS X menu bar. More exposure for Apple is a good thing!

10.2.1 does not fix Mail crash

Apple released Mac OS X 10.2.1 today. However, the Mail bug I have reported with them still exists. If you create an image with Graphic Converter and save using JPEG 6, dragging that file into a Mail message will cause Mail to lock up. Switch your GC prefs to save JPEGs with QuickTime.
